I’ve had my fair share of successes with multiple competitions, but none quite like the Launch Pad. The speed in which my work was noticed by important players was really remarkable. Within days of my initial placements in the competition, I was speaking with representation. I couldn’t be happier with my Launch Pad experience.
As Overall Winner of the 2021 Pilot Competition, I'm finally getting read like never before. After the win, I sent the Launch Pad Team my list of dream managers, and as a result, they connected me with Zero Gravity. They became quick champions of my work and a week later, I was signed.
Without a doubt my placement with Launch Pad was the biggest catalyst for my signing... After I placed in the Top 50 of the Launch Pad Feature Competition, my now manager read my script and Launch Pad connected us when he requested an introduction.
My feature script WHITE GOLD placed, script requests rose and doors opened, leading to my signing with Grace. All of that happened because of Launch Pad and I am nothing but grateful to them.
My now manager was one of the judges of the Launch Pad Pilot competition that I was fortunate enough to place as the overall winner in. Launch Pad connected us after he requested an introduction, we had a couple of great calls, and both felt that it was a good fit. After everything, it was really as simple as that!
The exposure from being in this competition has been a great boost for me, personally and professionally. Because your competition is judged by managers and agents, I was able to get noticed and repped by people who are excited about my writing. So yeah, I’d say my experience with Launch Pad was pretty amazing.
